Linux/BQ28Z610: How to flash Golden image on the gauge from a Linux host

Part Number: BQ28Z610
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQSTUDIO

Tool/software: Linux

Hello guys!

We have calibrated this gauge for our custom board and I was wondering if anyone could help us understand the provisioning scheme we can use on the production line.

We have a custom PCB with BQ28Z610 and a Linux SOM from which we intend to send the Golden Image to the gauge.

There's a couple of difficulties that we faced. The latest bqStudio seems to be lacking Golden image tab for our gauge and that's why I don't know how to generate a bq.fs file that I want to use to have all the gauges have the same firmware and Dataflash parameters.

The plan is to use the driver from here

but it needs and bq.fs file.

What should we do to obtain one?

After we generate the bqfs file I was hoping to use

to generate the headers for the drivers and then use the sysfs entry in Linux to do the updating for me.

Is there any other way?

I wanted to stress one more time:

- we use the latest bqStudio and v0.20 and can generate the SREC file for the gauge.
