TPS24770: TPS24770 - Could it support 12V/200A application?

Dear Sir,

Customer would like to survey HotSwap controller with analog Imon for 12V/200A application. Datasheet only show 100A reference circuit. Could it support 200A application?

    Hi Hsing ,

    For driving 200A load, you will need around 8 Mosfet's. We have tested TPS24770 with 8x CSD16415 , Cout = 3080uF in different conditions and the circuit has passed all the tests.
    1) Vin Power Up
    2) Vin Power Up into Short
    3) Enable Power Into Short
    4) Hot Short, No Load
    5) Hot Short, 50A Load

    Conclusion:
    •TPS24770 can drive 8 x CSD16415, 1mohm Class, strong SOA capable FETs without issues. Full HSC protection performance achieved. Boards were shorted several hundred times no issues.
    •SMD TVS (input), SMC Schottky (output must be used)
