TIDA-01495 model design clarification.

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIDA-01495, TIDA-010015

Hi Everyone,

Planning to use TIDA-01495 model reference design for our new development. But while cross verifying the datasheet , Design guide and Schematic, the reference values are not matched  as expected.

For example, the PFC inductor calculated as 195uH in design notes, but different value used in schematic like 150uH. Same as inductor many components got different value

The calculation is different and used value in schematic is different. Can anyone know the details or any one encountered same issue before.

If the document uploaded in the website are out dated then how to get the updated document for our design.

Kindly help.

  • Hi Balasubramani,

Some of the component values in this design were modified while testing to optimize performance. Please use the values in schematic for now. We are modifying the design guide soon.

  • Hi Salil,
Can we have some related document with respect to the changes or something . Do the design file have simulation file? can we have that for better understanding .
  • Hi Balasubramani,

As discussed with Ram over phone, the change details were conveyed. Currently we don't have the simulation file. However, the TI parts used in the design have models available.

  • Hi,
Can we have the details like at which temperature , thermal test conducted and documented ? Do we have additional information in thermal . We are planning for IP standard enclosure for this model as well as TIDA-010015 model.

  • Hi Balasubramani,

We have done a thermal profile at room temperature. No elevated temperature tests were performed on the reference design board.
