BQ27220: Where is the BAT_GD pin? GPOUT?

The TRM mentions the "BAT_GD" pin serveral times, but in the Pin Description of the bq27220 (SLUSCB7A) it isn't mentioned at all. Likewise, the GPOUT pin is mentioned in SLUSCB7A (p.4) talking about "BATLOWEN" and "GPIOPOL" bits of the "OpConfig" register, which isn't mentioned in the TRM.

Another copy-paste mistake? If yes, what does Pin A1 actually do?

The gpout pin should be connected to the gpio of a host to allow toggling high and low in the event that the chip shuts down due to esd.

pls follow the register map of bqstudio as that is the most correct source. Sorry for the confusion.

So, there is no BAT_GD pin on the BQ27220? If indeed there is isn't such a pin, what actually happens in case of a overtemperature charge / discharge?

There isn't such a pin. The TRM doesn't indicate the gpout can be configured for such functionality though it would be worth checking via the pfc registers. I would draw the systems engineers attention to this and look into getting the TRM corrected.
