TPS54302: Duty 100%

Hi all

Would you mind if we ask TPS54302?

There is the description on the datasheet P11;
"To improve drop out, the TPS54302 is designed to operate at 100% duty cycle as long as the BOOT to SW pin voltage is greater than 2.1 V typically."

Is it possible to use TPS54302 with 100 duty at any case?
We assume that it requires boot charge times, so actually is the duty upto 95%?

    Hi,

    When Vin drops to lower than Vout, TPS54302 will operate at t 100% duty cycle, and when BOOT to SW pin voltage is lower than 2.1 V, high-side FET will turn off, and low-side FET will turn on to charge the BOOT cap.
