TPS65910: I2C pull up to VMMC

Hi

The customer use TPS65910A31 for their board.

There is question where the I2C line should be pulled up to.

Our customer will connect SDA/SCL and SDASR/EN2 and SCLSR/EN1 to VMMC.

Do you have any problem in such connection configuration?

BestRegards

  • The TPS65910Ax User's Guide for AM335x Processors (www.ti.com/.../swcu093f.pdf) shows that I2C lines are pulled up to VDDIO through a 1.2kOhm resistor, and that the "The TPS65910Ax digital control signal level is defined by the VDDIO connection".

This means you can select what I/O voltage I2C lines are pulled up to. I recommend a 1.8V or 3.3V I/O voltage. Many of the LDOs could work, including VMMC, VDIG1, VDIG2, VAUX1, VAUX2, and VAUX33.
