BQ25570: Ideal Peltier output.

Hi there,

We are in middle of designing a smallest peltier and use the BQ25570 to charge a battery. I would like to find out what's the minimal power output that a peltier should generate to charge small battery.

YS,

Minimum power for startup VIN(CS)=700mV and IQ=900nA, if battery is depleted, over temp. Once started (or if battery is charged above 2.0V), power above VIN(DC)=100mV and IQ=900nA will be used for charging the battery.

Hi Jeff,

The battery we will be using is a 20mAh, 3.8V. Will that pose an issue for BQ25570 to charge it? Apologies for the question and thank you for your help!

YS,

If the peltier can provide the more than the minimum power levels above then yes, I would think it can charge the battery.
