I am attempting to calculate my PMBus coeffcients and I am unable to calculate with the following warning, "Codes must be at least 100 apart."
My understanding is the voltage drop across the sense resistor should span 5mV to 20mV, however when I measure the voltage across the eval board's resistor (using a 100Ohm power resistor as the load) I measure the voltage drop to be a fraction of that, 0.342mV which isn't even a tenth of what I would expect.
I believe my understanding is incorrect, I thought by adjusting the Voltage into the system I could increase the voltage across Rsns sufficiently to achieve this but it does not seem to be enough, even if I control the load current from it's absolute working minimum to it's maximum.
I have tried adjusting the input voltage as well as the load resistance. Is it assumed we should populate R10?
Thanks,
Ray
