TPS22969: Raspberry Pi Power Management

Part Number: TPS22969
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS22915

I am looking to use a high side driver such as the TPS22969 to cut power to raspberry pi.  Looking for potential alternative parts to do the job.  this one is sized at 6A, so it would work, but seems like over kill.

To control the HSD, I plan to use a PIC.  In addition to power management, the pic will act as a supervisory circuit to reset the Pi if it doesn't see a handshake in a timeout period.

Thanks!

  • Hi Russell,

Thanks for reaching out on E2E!

Can you comment more on your system specifications? What are your Vin, Vout, load current, load capacitance? Do you need any additional features such as adjustable slew rate, quick output discharge, or thermal shutdown?

For lower current applications, the TPS22915 is a good starting point. Would this device work in this application?

    Thanks,
