Hi Sir,

We are designing DC/DC power supply.  Spec requirement as below. 

Input : 12Vdc

Output : 250Vdc -280Vdc  , 400W

1) Could you please recommend suitable IC or reference design ? 

2) Can we use p/n UC3843 ?  Or Does it have other more suitable IC ? Please help to recommend.

    Hi CCphi,

    Since the required spec is not a normal application, I have not found TI reference design, please give me a day or so to check power controllers with this app.

    Hi CCphi,

    UC3843 devices is 8.4 V (ON) and 7.6 V (OFF), and operate to duty cycles approaching 100%. So UC3843 device can be used for the required power with boost topology. You also can use UCC38C43 device, an enhanced BiCMOS version with pin-for-pin compatibility to the UC3843.
