Hi, Team,

My customer found some issue with the FLT signal with UCD7242 in PTD08D210 module. Customer designed the SCH with the reference design from the xilinx KC705's SDK. They found one of PTD08D210 will report the FLT fault randomly, mostly happened during the start up.

I let customer increase the start up time, it will have some benefit but still have the FLT issue.

Following are the waveform for the FLT issue.

We found there are some application for ucd74120, which reminded the similar issue as this. Should be the same issue for the UCD7242? Thanks!

    Hi JW, 

    In the schematic, I see ISENSE pin is floating? If it is true, can you add a resistor between ISENSE pin and ground? 

    Also, is it possible to use a current probe to check inductor current at the beginning of soft start, so we can check if the OC on high-side FET is real?

    Hi  QIAN,

    We  design the schematic according xilinx KC705 board, we hope to set non-function FLT input for GUI register  only setting, the method  : IN the FUSION DESIGN  ONLINE ,Configure ---- GPIO configure --- FLT - 1A---Configure,we change FLT-1A ,FLT-2A ,FLT-3A ,FLT-4A into GPI, 

    we want to know  if this method can be used .

    we dont know how to  check the inductor current ,because we have no the PTD08d210w  PCB or schematic ,
