WEBENCH® Tools/TPS43060: DC-DC converter (Booster)

Hi,

    I am using TPS43060 Booster IC to get following specifications.

       Input voltage = 22V-28V

      output voltage = 36Volts

      Output current = 11 Amps.

 For this what is the suitable switching frequency and inductor value. If i select higher frequency Switching IC(TPS43060) is damaging. Can any one explain how to select switching frequency for particular frequency.

    Hi Bharath,

    Thank you for your interests. However, I am afraid your power level (~400W) is excessive for the TPS43060. I would recommend you to use LM25122 in dual phase or even four phases to deliver such high power. You can take a look at the following reference design.
