TPS25921A: SS left open

hello,

Our customer plans to use TPS25921 with SS floating. May I confirm if the device works correctly in case SS left open, even if the datasheet mentioned that internal 70pF supports slow start up, so that I suppose it works correctly as long as huge rash current is conducted.

Hi Toshiro,

The SS pin can be left floating to obtain a predetermined slew rate (tSS) on the output. When terminal is left floating, the device sets an internal ramp rate of ~50V/ms for output (V(OUT)) ramp.
You can use the design calculator to see if the device starts up without any problem with your specifications.
