LP5024EVM: I2C connection

Hi,

First I connect LP5024EVM with USB2ANY and its work fine. LED pattern is generate.

After that i connect it with my 5v micro-controller. connect VMCU  to VCC(+5v). but it can not get response from board. Both address pins are grounded so i use address(0x28).

5v controller communication not work so i use 3.3v controller i2c communication . same way I2C communication is not work with 3.3v controller.

At last I again reconnect LP5024EVM with USB2ANY. now it doesn't work with is condition also.

what is the problem?

Now finally I am trying to communicate my LP5024EVM with MSP430FR5994 3.3v controller. But my code stuck at i2c driver library.

It is stuck at line

"// WAIT FOR THE FIRST TXBUF EMPTY INTERRUPT BEFORE LOADING TARGET REGISTER

while(!(UCB2IFG & UCTXIFG));"

in readI2C function.

My i2c work properly with other i2c sensor.

I want to know that what is the problem?

My original setup is not working. 

Also i check with address 0x29 , 0x2A , 0x2B but i2c is not responding.

Hi kenneth,

I check resistance between Vcc and GND. Its value is 4.87kohm, chip is not short.

Here i attach hardware connection between LP5024EVM with MSP430FR5994.

I check with GUI get error "Receive buffer is empty".

We already have 2 board of LP5024EVM. But both have same problem.

We also change IC in one board but still have same problem.
