BQ25703A: BQ25703A CHRG_OK status control

Part Number: BQ25703A

we use CHRG_OK this pin to control charge behavior,

when the core chip is off, insert the adapter in and start charge,

but, now all the power consumption has increased by 200uA,

Whether BQ25703A can keep the state of Open drain unchanged by setting, unaffected by the state of VBUS

thanks!!

  • Hey Ray,

I'm guessing the added consumption is from the CHRG_OK pin pulled low when VBUS is not present, correct?

As far as keeping the pin inactive regardless of the state of VBUS, unfortunately CHRG_OK operation is tied to the state of VBUS. However, if the state is unchanged by the state of VBUS, how will you control the charge behavior? If CHRG_OK floats up to the pull-up voltage whether you have VBUS present or not, you really do not have detection.
