5V Version of the TPS737xx?

Hi All!

Our application requires a buck/boost IC that puts out 5V from a 3.7v Li-Po battery pack, which get charged by a USB connection which might be higher than 5V.

We currently use the TPS73733 which puts out 3.3v, when the input voltage is between 2.7V and 6.0v.  This works perfectly!

I there a similar device from TI that can take 2.7V to 6V in (or close to that), and put out 5.0V in a buck/boost fashion (if the input V is either higher or lower than 5V?

(Sorry for reposting this...my previous question was closed for some reason.)

Thanks!

  • Hi Jim,

E2E posts will automatically close after a period of extended inactivity.  Looking at your previous posts it looks like  and  gave part suggestions in both of your previous posts.  Wilson made suggestions for an LDO while Joel suggested a buck/boost.

In your post title you mention that you are looking for an LDO suggestion; however, your question seems to imply that you are looking for a buck/boost suggestion.  Could you clarify which product you are looking for so that we can make sure that we make the best suggestions for your application?

    Very Respectfully,
