Hi,

Could you tell me about how to protect TS pin?

If the thermistor is on the battery pack side, the TS pin may be exposed.
Therefore, the customer wants to protect the TS pin.

Customer tried installing Zener diode at TS pin.
However, it was impossible to detect the correct temperature.

Do you know the circuit example that normally operates while protecting the TS pin?

I am unaware of a protection circuit for TS. Is the protection against overvoltage and short to ground? The TS pin has a resistor divider that provides some protection from both. Some customers have added a small (<=100pF) capacitor to ground to provide additional protection from voltage spikes.

I will introduce "added a small (<=100pF) capacitor to ground" as spike voltage protection.

By the way, Is there a protection method for a DC voltage?

Yusuke-san,

The resistors provide a limited protection against DC voltage as they can absorb current from external dc bias up to the pull up voltage.
