Hi,
We have a new PCBA that I’m testing that uses bq27742. I’m having current accuracy issues. I’ve calibrated CC Offset and Board Offset and then current using -1999mA (discharge). During -1999mA discharge it’s spot-on, but it’s off by +23mA during charge at +2001mA. With Deadband set to 0, the current displays +/-1mA at rest. I’ve tried manually editing the offset values and I can get the current error within 10mA under load/charge, but then my offset at rest is off.
I’ve verified the currents using a calibrated, 6-digit ammeter. The board has a 5mOhm sense resistor and the SRN/SRP are routed in parallel in Kelvin connection. Do you have any recommendations? Is this a known issue?
Values after calibration:
CC Gain = 5.130
CC Delta = 5.120
CC Offset = 1522
Board Offset = 1

Jason
