is there a recommendation how to use unused GPIO pins?

My customer is connecting it to GND with 10k.

Hi Josef,

10k to GND should be ok, it does depend on if they are setting as input/output - more details on this are explained in the design recommendations document Section 10: www.ti.com/.../slua791a.pdf
