LP8861-Q1: RISET setting

Hi,

Though my custmoer intended to set RISET to 192kΩ, my customer can not do it because recommendation range 24kΩ~129kΩ was added on the datasheet.

Is setting 192kΩ problem?

If yes, what problem will it occur by the setting?

Hi,

We do not recommend using the device at that low current. If setting RISET at 192kohm, the device may still work but current accuracy may be quite low. What is customer's application? Why so low current is needed?

Customer's application is medical equipment.

Could you tell me why resistance range restriction added?

Hi,

The device is designed to have high current accuracy at around 100mA. So if operating at quite low current, the current accuracy may not be good.
