TL432: TL432 Pulse Delay/response time

Hi Wei-Hao,

For comparator delay response, are you looking for how long the Vka takes to switch once Vref passes its Vth?

Thanks for your reply, that is right. My customer is configuration TL432 as the comparator for protection and they wanted to know the response time of once Vref passes its Vth.

Hi Wei-Hao,

The slew rate depends heavily on the capacitor but on figure 2 of the app note the drop takes < 1ms but I am unsure of what output capacitor on this circuit.

I have previously tested our new device the TL431LI in a comparator application without an output cap and I measured around 1us. The graph below is for TL431LI. The TL431 should be slightly slower but still within several us. The delay is system specific because adding an output cap will add delay.
