Hi,

I am writing because I would need some clarifications after reading the Tech Reference document. Could you please help me with the following questions:

1- How to decide between Constant Power and Constant Current for load mode? How this would affect the performance of the Gauge? 

I am connecting this gauge to a BQ24232 which powers an embedded system (Microprocessor + Audio + WiFi Module).

2 - Does taper voltage belong to Subclass 82 or 109? Same for Voltage at Charge Termination. There seem to be some incongruence between Table 7-2 and section 7.4.

3 - On step 8 of section 4.1, should not it start at 0x46 in order to read/write Design Capacity? According to table 7-2, the offset for design capacity would be 6.

    1. If your application is a constant current application then you use that, if constant power, use load mode 1. if neither, use constant current mode.
    For 2 and 3, bqstudio has the right addresses and offsets listed. Pls use that as a guide.
