Hello team,

for my customer's project, they are testing the BQ24295EVM-549 but wanted to use the EVM independently: can they use the EVM without the USB-TO-GPIO interface?

Please let me know.

    Hi,
    BQ24295 has default mode, please reference datasheet page22.
    As I know, This part can automatically enable with default mode setting and without USB-TO-GPIO interface communication.

    do you refer to paragraph 8.3.3.1 Autonomous Charging Cycle on pag 22? I'm asking since on the EVM user's guide it reports "The bq24295EVM doesn’t include the USB-to-GPIO interface board. To evaluate the bq24295EVM, theUSB-to-GPIO interface board must be ordered separately."

    Hi

    If you want to fully evaluate BQ24295 EVM board functions then you need to use USB-to_GPIO interface board otherwise BQ24295 only operate in default mode as we mentioned on page22-default setting.   And due to USB-to-GPIO interface board is not package in BQ24295EVM, so if you want doing fully evaluation, please order separately.
