May I learn from you that if we didn't want to use battery to supply the power, could we supply VP pin directly without battery?
If yes, could we floating TOP pin and NPNB pin like below screenshot?

Hello Edward,
Thanks for choosing bq76pl455.
You can supply VP1 with external power.
You can float NPNB, but you can't float Top pin.
Top pin will supply internal 10V always on LDO.
You can take a look at its internal block diagram.
Top channel is also a safety mechanism which is used to monitor pack's voltage.
