TPS92692: Calculation of SEPIC topology

Part Number: TPS92692
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS92691

Hi,

1. Refer to the previous question, may I ask is there any calculation tool about SEPIC topology for TPS92692 ready yet?

If not, then the Tool of TPS92691attached in previous thread is the finial version now? Because I didn't see this in TI.com now

2. What is the internal current source of slope compensation?

Thank you.

C.T.

  • Hi Chentsu,

There is no SEPIC calculation tool ready for TPS92692.
Please refer to the TPS92691 SEPIC tool for the power-stage calculation.

Please refer to section 8.3.8 for the slope compensation mechanism discussion. We do not simply get a current source output for the slope pin:
"The devices incorporate an adaptive slope compensation technique that modifies the slope of the artificial ramp generated based on the input voltage, VIN and output voltage measured at CSP pin, VCSP, thus greatly simplifying the design for common LED driver topologies, such as boost, buck-boost, and boost-to-battery."
  • Hi Issac,

I didn't find TPS92691 SEPIC calculation tool in TI.com, only at the E2E thread. But TI said that the calculation tool is not done yet in E2E thread 1 year before, but it still not release now. I'm wondering to know that why it still not release now? Is it with some problem? Or could you provide the lasted version calculation tool since the link in E2E thread of excel file wasn't finished 1 year before.

    Thank you.
