TPS61169: Rise Time for LED Exposure Application

Part Number: TPS61169

Hello,

The LED driver TPS61169 doesn't seem to list a rise time on its datasheet. I am using the LED in a camera exposure application where I need it on for short bursts (60ms) and every microsecond of rise time counts because the more light that gets in during the exposure, the better the image quality.

What is the LED output rise time for this driver assuming a standard configuration where t0 is at the first PWM edge and t1 is when the LED output is fully high?

Thanks,
Jason

  • Hi Jason,
It's an application question, the rise time may be different with different application(different output cap, different LED counts and different output current). For Vin=3.6V,Iout=20mA,L=4.7uH,Cout=1uF,10LED application, the typical rise time is less than 5ms.
    Regards
