BQ24032A: Capacitor from ISET1 to BAT

11.2.2 of the data sheet says that a 0.22 µF capacitor between BAT and ISET1 will improve operation at low charge currents. However, it is not shown in the typical application schematic, figure 7.

What does "improve operation" mean? Does it damp out potential oscillation? Does it improve accuracy of I=Kset*Vset/Rset? In what way might operation be non-optimal if this capacitor is omitted?
