TPS25982: Microprocessor for monitoring of power through eFuses TPS259827L

Part Number: TPS25982
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP430FR2153, MSP430FR2355

I'm designing a system with two TPS259827LNRGET eFuses.  I need a recommendation for a small microprocessor with built-in ADCs to monitor the power through these two eFuses, and maybe a couple of other rails.  Any suggestions?

  • Hi Carl,

I have moved this thread to microprocessor forum for suggestion.

  • Hi Carl,

If you are looking for a small microprocessor or microcontroller to monitor voltages on different channels, I would recommend devices in the MSP430 MCU portfolio. We offer a wide variety of devices with on-board ADCs to meet the needs of many analog sensing applications.

Please refer to the product landing page ( www.ti.com/.../products.html ) and use the filter on the left side of the web-page to find a device with the correct memory size, ADC type, and channel count your application requires.

At first glace I would recommend the MSP430FR2153 which has a 12-channel 12-bit SAR ADC with some other differentiated peripherals, such as enhanced comparators and DACs, on board that might benefit you with other aspects of your design. The MSP430FR2355 is in the same family as the first part I recommended, but also includes our Smart Analog Combo of integrated configurable op-amp blocks with integrated programmable gain and DACs for precise gain and voltage reference.

Hopefully this helps point you in the right direction to finding an MCU that's right for you.

    Best regards,

    Matt
  • Thanks, Matt!  I will take a closer look at your suggestions.
