Hi team,

We have some questions and could you please help?

1. In the datasheet 8.3.6.6,

The safety timer is 2 hours when the battery is below VBATLOWV threshold and 10 hours when the battery is higher than VBATLOWV threshold.

From datasheet parameters, we know that tsaftey typ is 10 hours(min=8hrs, max= 12hrs) as above blod.

But wht's the min and max range for above blod 2 hours?

2. In datasheet, battery charge voltage typ is 4.208V.

Why the part design typ is 4.208V rather than 4.2V?

3. Could you provide RT1 and RT2 calculate and temperature error excel file?

Not very understand for select resistance and accuracy for battery temperature control and protection in datasheet.

    Hey Zoe,

    1. The range of the pre-charge timer is roughly similar to the fast charge safety timer, ~ +/-20% tolerance.

    2. This is due to customer demand. In fact, many li-ion cells have a tolerance of 4.2V +/-0.05V. Our charger has 4.208 +/- 0.5% is which below the maximum tolerance of these cells.

    3. You can refer to this site for a similar calculation tool from the BQ25890 family. The percentage limits are similar and can be adjusted to match those for the BQ25606. www.ti.com/.../toolssoftware
