TPS2491EVM-002: TPS2491EVM-002:

Hello,

I am using TPS2491EVM-002 with the following changes:

R3 is changed to 47Kohm.

R4 is disconnected.

The following setup was connected:

1. Input power supply 40V 7Amper max limit.

2 A resistor of 7.5 Ohm was connected to the output as a load.

Result:

Current 4 Ampere constant.

Voltage  30 V.

Questions:

1. Why does the current wasn't exceeded to 5Amper according to limit?

2. Why does the FET wasn't  turned off the output power?

3. Was there a power limit that cause the voltage to decrease from 40V to 30V? in case the answer is positive please explain how to calculate it s value when R3 is 47Kohm and R4 is disconnected?

Does the  expected power limit value shall be : 10 X I lim x 4=> 200Watt

Please explain how to calculate its value?
