Hi Team,

My customer uses the bq76200, the battery voltage is about 47V, and the Vddcp voltage is about 56V. Customer found the voltage on DSG pin is very low. It's only about 2V.

Hi Lenna,

It sounds like maybe the DSG driver is overloaded. Can you ask them to capture the waveforms on the oscilloscope like Figure 5 of this app note?: www.ti.com/.../slua794.pdf

Hi Matt,

Thanks for your reply. Customer use a NOR gate 74HC02 in front of the DSG_EN pin. Is there an opportunity that 74HC02 is incompatible with BQ76200?

Hi Lenna,

I don't think that should cause a problem. If the output of the 74HC02 is high (DSG_EN is high) than the DSG FET should be enabled.

Hi Lenna,

I will close this thread on E2E since the discussion has continued off line. The most important first step to debug this type of issue is the scope image of the DSG pin voltage. This will show if overloading is occurring.
