PCH MOSFET Gate to Source absolute maximum

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CSD25501F3

hello,

While I have checked PCH MOSFET specification, TI's PCH MOSFET does not specify positive VGS Gate to Source maximum voltage rating, Gate voltage > Source voltage case. Following is CSD25501F3 case though, the other PCHFETs are the same.

Could you please let us know absolute max VGS positive voltage.

best regards,

  • Hello Imi san,
The CSD25501F3 includes a zener clamp diode from G-S. This allows the gate voltage (VGS) to be operated above the maximum internal gate oxide value of –6 V. However, pulling the gate positive with respect to source will cause the diode to conduct in the forward direction. The large value (10k) series clamp resistor, RC, limits the current in the forward direction. To avoid conduction of this diode, we do not recommend a positive VGS. Therefore, we do not specify an positive abs max VGS.
