Hello Community,

Please advise the protective diodes for the following interfaces:
1. JTAG
2. UART / GPIO (preferably 2 in 1, if there are none, then two separate ones)

Hello,
Any of the below parts will work and they are each differentiated from each other,
For 5V signals:
TPD1E6B06 (0201 package)
TPD1E10B06 (+/-30kV)
TPD1E05U06 (Better Negative clamping voltage)
For 3.3V Signals:
ESD351 (Ultra low clamping voltage +/- 30kV)
TPD1E1B04 (Bidirectional if you don't want to worry about putting the device in the correct way)
TPD1E04U04 (Low Clamping and 0201 package)

ALso if you want to put them in multi channel the highest protection we can offer for 3.3V signals is ESDS314 which is 4 channel and has 25A of surge and 30kV ESD. Also for 4 channel for 5V signals we have TPD4E1U06

Thanks for your reply, it was very helpful to me. But I had a few questions:

1. Is any of the listed items suitable for use in all types of applications: GPIO, UART, JTAG, LCD, depending on the voltage I choose?
2. Is protection required on the power lines of the VCC microcontrollers?

It is up to your application if you believe VCC is in danger of being damaged by ESD.
All of those (with the exception of LCD)can be either 3.3V or 5V I believe. As long as you choose the correct voltage rated part all of those devices will work for you.

Thank you very much for your response! You really helped me with the choice, I chose TPD4E1U06 for my 5V devices.
