Difference between BQ40Z50-R1 and -R2

Dear TI community,

I'm looking for battery management ic with integrated balancing and gas gauge feature.

I think the BQ40Z50 meets all our requirements for a 3s1p configuration with IMR13450 600mAh cell.

What is the difference between BQ40Z50-R1 and -R2 version.

Hi Michael,

The BQ40Z50-R2 is the newer version of the device with several features added. The full list is here: www.ti.com/.../slua833
I would recommend the BQ40Z50-R2 if you are not sure which to select.

Hi Matt,

thank you for fast response.
But I also consider to use bq40z60 because of integrated charger and balancer.
