LM5141: Change low-side FET to diode and use in asynchronous circuit

Part Number: LM5141
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM5085

Hi,

I am studying the circuit using the LM5141 device under the following specifications.
The load current is small in my circuit, but frequency spreading function is necessary to reduce noise.
However, because the price of the FET is high, I'd like to change the low side FET to a diode.
Is it possible to use the LM5141 device as an asynchronous circuit?
Is there a function that can not be used if possible?

(specification)
VIN: 24V
VOUT: 12V
IOUT: 0.1A (typ), 3A (max)
DEMB = GND (using diode emulation mode)
Best regards,
