LP5562: Direct firmware load for lp5562 failed with error -2

I am using Linux 4.9 kernel and what i want to achieve is blink the leds using execution engines. for this i am using simple commands given in documentation.They are as follows

echo "RGB" > /sys/bus/i2c/devices/xxxx/engine_mux # engine mux for RGB
echo 2 > /sys/bus/i2c/devices/xxxx/select_engine     # 2 is for green channel
echo 1 > /sys/class/firmware/lp5562/loading
echo "4000600040FF6000" > /sys/class/firmware/lp5562/data
echo 0 > /sys/class/firmware/lp5562/loading
echo 1 > /sys/bus/i2c/devices/xxxx/run_engine
But after executing command for selecting select_engine, i am getting this error. I am not able to identify where am i going wrong

Yes, I am using the same drver you mentioned in the link. But still i am getting this error whenever i try to load a pattern using the commands mentioned in the documentation. Can you please help me ASAP
