TPS2546: TPS2546 connected with QC device in DCP auto mode

Hi all,

My customer has question about TPS2546 connected with QC 3 device in DCP auto mode. TPS2546 can't keep in 5V and continue retry the connection. But in CDP mode it's ok. Is TPS2456 not compatible with QC device? Or is there any TI USB switch can work correctly with QC mobile phone in DCP mode?

My customer test HTC 10 / Xiaomi Mi8 and has charging issue on TPS2546 EVM's DCP auto mode. FYI. Thanks.

Hello Gary,

Would you be able to capture a few different tests? Capture both a passing test condition when the device is in CDP mode and a failing test when the device is in DCP mode.

For both tests have the following test points connected
- VBUS
- D+
- D-
- I_VBUS (current out of VBUS)

Would you also be able to send me a screen capture of the TPS2546 within your schematic?
