I am having issues with my implementation of the bq24079 for charging a single 18650 type lithium ion battery.
1. When the battery is disconnected and USB or an external 5V power supply is connected, no power is passed to the load. The voltage on the OUT pin is around 0.7V.
2. If the battery is inserted, the battery power is passed to the load and the system runs as expected, however the battery doesn't charge when the USB or supply is connected and just discharges. Both the charge and power OK LEDs are on in this state.
