BQ34Z100: BQ34Z100

Part Number: BQ34Z100
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: GPCCHEM, , , GPCRA0, GPCRB, GPCCEDV, BQ34110

I am trying to submit my data log file. I only submitted, as a starter, a log file I collected at room temperature with high current rate.

When I tried submitting the room temp, the GPG tool sent an email saying that submission is missing lowtemp files.

On reading SLUUB5B (revised ver Jan 2018), it says under section 2.2 Data Log Files....the GPC tool requires six discharge logs:

hightemp_highrate.csv

hightemp_lowrate.csv

roomtemp_highrate.csv

roomtemp_lowrate.csv

lowtemp_highrate.csv

lowtemp_lowrate.csv

So what is required as a minimum, all 6 files? or

Can I just not submit a log file as I generate it? and then submit the next one to the tool....

I am confused.

  • Hi Dalip,

You have the bq34z100 part listed. If you are developing with the bq34z100-g1, an impedance track gauge, you should be using the GPCCHEM tool to find a CHEMID match, GPCRA0 for high temp tweaks and/or GPCRB tool for low temp tweaks.

The files you have listed are for the GPCCEDV tool, for CEDV gauges such as the bq34110.

No matter which tool link you submit to, they all go to the same place, so the config.txt file is critical. If ProcessingType is left off of your config.txt file, it will default to the CEDV tool, and throw errors from it.

The GPCCHEM tool is ProcessingType = 1 and only requires 1 file at room temperature.

For more information on how to format the config.txt file and the roomtemp_rel_dis_rel.csv log for the GPCCHEM tool, please refer to this guide: www.ti.com/.../slva725a.pdf

    Sincerely,
    Bryan Kahler
