My customer is considering BQ25703A and has a question.

I would be grateful if you could advise

Regarding the datasheet P.31, 8.5 Programming, the I2C address is D6h (1101101_X), where X is the read/write bit.

But x=0, 11010100=DAh

X=1, 11010101=DBh

not be D6h

Could you please let me know right address.

Hey Shinichi,

This is a typo in the datasheet. The hexadecimal address will either be D6h (write) or D7h (read). The binary conversion is incorrect.

In reality, the I2C address should be listed as a 7-bit hex value of 6Bh. This is then left-shifted by 1 bit to add the Read or /Write bit for the first I2C transaction.
