LMG1210: PWM to drive LMG1210

Part Number: LMG1210
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCD3138

This driver can operate up to 50MHz . Please could someone advise a PWM part No capable of similar hi frequency?

  • Hi Ken,

thanks for your question on LMG1210, welcome to e2e!
The highest closed loop BW controller is from the UCD3138 and family.
It has a BW of 2MHz as the error amp samples the output voltage every 500ns.
The controller can output 50MHz PWM signals however the closed loop BW is capped by the 2MHz error amp.
What is your application? why do you need 50MHz switching? what GAN fet are you using?
are you thinking about using a synchronous bootstrap?

    thanks,

We have a PWM patent that can operate at least 10 times faster than those you have available AND its VERY simple. I could e mail a draft doc if you would like to review it?

sorry Jeff didnt mean to be so abrupt. Also meant to say :
We have made a breadboard and it proves our patent 100%

    Thanks for the response

  • Hi Ken,

I was auditing threads and ran across this one.

I deleted most of the information as TI does not generally allow patents or proprietary information to be discussed on e2e. It is primarily for customer support of our devices.

If you would like to investigate licensing your patent to TI, please contact TI's legal group for more information on how to do that. You can generate a support case via this link: ticsc.service-now.com/.../
