BQ40Z50-R2: there is no output between pack+ and pack-。only when i connect 4p pin to pack+

Why is the official BQ40Z50-R2 development board, only when the 4P pin is connected to pack+, pack+ and pack- have output voltage.

Then, when the system is powered off, how can I not short-circuit 4P and pack-, but between PACK+ and pack-, the output voltage can be used to supply power to the board.

That is because the gauge will not wake up until it sees a voltage on the pack side temporarily at least. You can either connect 4P to Pack+ or use the wake button on the evm.

but when i use it in fact,i can not short the two pin or press the wake button,the battery should automaticly output the voltage after there is no other power supply applied to the system.

If you have auto ship enable on not detecting a pack even after wake up it will shut down.
