TPS563201: Dimming LED driver

Hi,

I'd like to use TPS56320x or TPS56x219A as dimming LED driver.

Buck converter could be used as LED driver in general, but I still want to know is these 2 component good for this application?

Hi,

In theory, it is feasible, but I have never seen these two devices were used for this application.
why don't you use TPS54200/ TPS54201?

Hi Shawn,

It's all about cost. If use TPS54200, then I will need 2 pcs for 3A output current.

HI Chentsu,

I think TPS563200 could be use as LED driver but since it is not specially designed for LED, the power loss on Rset could be high due to high Vref voltage.
