Hi Guys,
My customer has the following question:
I recently bought a BQ20Z95EVM online and replace the gas gauge with BQ20Z65, because they are pin to pin compatible. And following is the set up.
1) Connected VSS, PACK- and SYS-PRES together.
2) Connected PACK+ to ARBIN IV channel I+, and connected PACK- to I-.
3) Connected two batteries in series to 2P, 1P,1N.(V2pto1p = +3.6V, V1pto1n = +3.6V). Short-circuit 4P, 3P and 2P.
4) Connected SMBD, SMBC and VSS to Arbin SMBData, SMBClock and SMBGND respectively.
5) Press SW1 to activate the gasgauge.
However, the BQ20Z65 doesn't work. Did I miss something?
Note: When I received the EVM board, R24 and R21 were not on the board. The pads of pin 44(CHG), 43(BAT) and 33(RBI) were peeled off when we took the BQ20Z95 off the board, and we used fly line to connect them to correct components.
