BQ24172: Will TTC pin influence battery absent status?

Hi team,

My customer used BQ24172, they want to get battery absent status by STAT pin. When connecting a capacitor to TTC pin, STAT will blink with battery removal. But when connecting TCC pin to GND, it will not blink. Will TTC pin influence the battery absent status? Thanks.

Hi Rory,

Yes. If TTC pin is ground, charger termination is disabled. The battery detection circuit uses the termination circuit to identify when the battery is absent.
