TLC5958: HUB between receiver card and driver

Part Number: TLC5958

Dear TI experts,

I would like to know what is suitable HUB between receiver card and the driver ?

From "High density, high refresh rate LED display module with TLC5958", the inputs for the drivers are :

A HUB like HUB75 used in NovaStar MRV328 receiver card has this configuration :

I noticed that the data sent from receiver card is R1 R2 B1 B2 G1 and G2, but in TLC5958 the data input is just D1. Does this mean the HUB is not compatible ? Could you recommend me the HUB that is used in the display module TLC5958.

Could you also give me suggestion on how the grayscale clok is inputted from receiver card, since it has different clock with sclk ? Thank you and looking forward to hearing your reply.

Regards,

Reno

  • Hi Reno,

Novastar and TI does not supply the HUB, the HUB board will be different with different receiving card interface and LED panel board interface.

As for the second question, I am not fully understand what you want to ask, please see the below commment first.
the GSCLK is calculated by the FPGA on the receiving card based on the configuration from the customer, Yes the GSCLK is different with SCLK, GCLK is used for display, SCLK is used for transmitting, there is no conflict with these two.

    Regard,
    Shawn
