ULN2803A: IC markings

Part Number: ULN2803A

I have blown a ULN2803A by causing a short in a connector. The device in question has 2 ULN2803A chips, one has now a hole in it. Trying to order a new IC I found tons of them, but they have a different number printed on. Mine has a marking with 97W33RB and ULN2803A. Being a novice, I have no idea what the first number means. I found an identical chip except its marking is 67WH3RB. Can I use that or is it another version incomaptible with mine?

Thank you. It is installed on an altitude encoder MGL CNV -AT. No diagram, just trying to replace the blown part with the same or compatible. I just don’t know what that 94.... marking means and whether it’s identifying the part. I searched TI for that number and no luck.

Hi Gus,

Taking a look at our database, I was able to confirm the 67WH3RB marking, but not the other one. Can you send us a picture of the topsides of the chips? This will help us identify the correct device.

In general, these values signify the LTC of our units: Year, Month, and lot identifier. As long as it says ULN2803A on the second line, it should be the same device.

Yes, to confirm as long as it says ULN2803A on the second line, it should be the same device.
