Dear Support,

I would like to use the TL7700 to monitor a 12V rail. The RESET should trigger if the input voltage drops anything below 9V. I am struggling to determine the resistor values required to set the trigger and hysteris.

Hi Mohinder,

For your application, unless you need >18V transients, I would use the TPS3710.

The TPS3710 has an application section 8.2 which goes over the design details.
The TPS3710 is a lower Iq and higher performance device compared to the TL7700. This device also comes in a smaller package.
The TPS3710 has built in hysteresis so there is no need to calculate it.

You can use section 8.2 for the same design procedure for TL7700 but I would highly recommend to use TPS3710.
