When a battery is connected to our bq Gas Gauge Evaluation Software -BQ20Z80 V1.10 we verify if the values of the registers: “FET Control” to “Charging Status” are clear.
To unseal the IC we type in a manufacture access code then the registers: “FET Control” to “Charging Status” are populated.
we then seal the battery typing in another manufacture access code. the registers: “FET Control” to “Charging Status” should clear after this however we have seen it multiple times that one random value will always remain.
Can you tell me Why does this occur? What impact this has on the IC or Battery? Can this be prevented?
