TLV733P: Foldback current limit characteristic at 1.2Vout

Hi team,

According to the datasheet, "Foldback current limit vs Iout and temperature" are shown only at 1.0V, 1.8V and 3.3V, and it seems there is no foldback characteristic at 1.2Vout. Could you also provide the foldback current limit characteristic at 1.2Vout?

    Hi Jun,

    Unfortunately we do not have the foldback curve for the 1.2 V output at this time. The typical characteristic curves are representative curves for the family. The characteristics for the 1.2 V output would fall between the curves for the 1 V and 1.8 V output. As such we would expect the foldback point to be between 450 mA (1.8 V output) and 650 mA (1 V output).

    Keep in mind that TLV733P is designed, tested, and characterized for an operating current of 300 mA. Current limit is a protection for fault conditions and is not intended for normal operation.
